US History - 621/622            2  Semester      2  Credit      Grade 11

Required for graduation, this course will begin with the causes of the Revolutionary War. First Semester will cover the major social, political and economic developments from the 1760's - 1880's. Second semester will cover the major developments from the 1880's - 1990's.

World Geog - 614/615          2  Semester      2  Credit      Grade 9-12

This course is intended to provide students with a basic knowledge of the geographic regions of the seven continents and to provide an opportunity for the students to relate and analyze the many factors that are involved in creating culture.

World History - 611/612      2 Semester       2 Credit      Grade 10

This course covers the beginning of modern western civilization to the present. Areas of study include the Renaissance, age of exploration, the reformation, Europe in an age of autocracy, the industrial revolution, plus the many changes which tiio place between the 19th century to the present. Highlights include nationalism and revolution, imperialism, WW1 and peace treaties, inflation and depression, technology in the 20th Century and the cold war.

US Gov't - 603                         2 Semester       2 Credit       Grade 12

This required course covers the major elements of American government beginning with a background of governments in general. It includes a survey of the specific function of the three braches of the U.S.. government. Other sections deal with the various powers suuch as taxing and commerce, reulation of immigration and naturalization, civil rights, political parties, pressure groups, suffrage, nominations and elections. The final semester examines state and local government. This includes state constitutions, state finance, municipal government in action, and case stides involving cities of the future.

Economics - 604                      1 Semester      1 Credit         Grade 12

Required for graduation, this course will give students a working knowledge of world economic systems, supply and demand, inflation and its causes, rights of consumers; including contracts, monetary and fiscal policy, banking, credit, housing, buying skills, tax preperation, insurance and budgeting.
